Larry for Model Number 110.20702990 Kenmore washer Was spinning weak, so changed out direct drive motor coupler two months ago. All was good until today it stopped spinning or agitating. Pumps, so motor must be running. Pulled off motor and transmission. Clutch and brakes look fine. Then noticed the triangular-shaped coupler on the motor side had slipped down below the fitting on the motor shaft, so it doesn't turn when the motor turns. I must have tapped it down too far when I installed it. How can I get it off without breaking it? Or should I just break it off and try replacing again?
Answer Hello Larry. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the motor coupling 285852A will need to be replaced. If it has went that far onto the shaft, it is rounded out on the unit. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, January 24, 2012
