Ron for Model Number Kenmore Elite 665.16059402 When the new sink was installed, the drain hose was nicked. The new sink will require the drain plumbing to be a bit lower as the new sink is deeper. The damaged hose goes through cabinet gable at the top right rear corner of D/W (as you look into it) right below the counter top, then across and down to drain bib above P trap. My booklet says hose is 8269144 (6 1/2 feet), your hose says 8269144A, 6 feet? Is there a difference because of the "A" suffix? If the hose will not reach the drain using the above route when the new drain pipes are completed, can I go under the D/W on the floor at the back and into the lower cabinet side and up to the drain bib? Will this cause any issue like siphoning? I believe where this hose connects to another hose that is looped on the left side of the D/W? In the most unlikely case, is there a longer hose that plugs into the looped hose at the side of the D/W? Thanks
Answer Hello Ron, As per design, the drain line has to go up to countertop height and then back down to the drain or it will cause a siphon condition. The manufacturer did the design change on the drain line 8269144A but if this is not long enough you can use a drain line extension 3385556. Read More...
