Ed D for Model Number GEW9200LW0 Our whirlpool duet dryer has recently been acting up in the following manner: The cycle selection wheel and everything to the left of it works properly. The temperature select and the chime volume buttons no longer do anything with both being stuck on high heat and high volume. We had tried a power cycle on the unit and nothing changed. We also tried the diagnostic tests and all passed except for being able to use the above buttons. This to me sound like the console electronics board being bad but was not sure if this was a symptom of the machine control board going out.
