Chip for Model Number GEW9200LW1 Hi, none of the buttons on my Whirlpool Duet's console light up, but the tub light works. Here's what I've done: Using the 8178071 L-69 Whirlpool Duet Gas and Electric Dryers job aid, I've entered the diagnostic mode. 88 appears in the Estimated Time Remaining display. Going through the keypad test, two steps fail: The Dryness Level test (no beeps and all lights remain lit) and the Wrinkle Shield test (same result). All other tests, including the Start test, succeed. The Sensing keypad test shows a software revision code of 02, and the Start keypad test shows a project ID code of 06. Where I need guidance is whether I need a new a) Console Electronics Board, b) Machine Control Electronics Board, or c) something else. The manual refers to console situations that don't really apply, e.g., none light up, a particular group lights up, etc. (while in diagnostic mode). They ALL light up in diagnostic mode, but the 2 tests that I mentioned above fail. Outside of diagnostic mode, nothing lights up. If a or b, could you please provide a part number so I can order? Let me know if you need additional information. Thank you, Chip
Answer Chip, With the buttons not working, this would be a User interface issue and the user interface would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 27, 2021
