Cole E. for Model Number MFI2568AES The icemaker would not eject so cleaned coils underneath the refrigerator, removed the icemaker and let it thaw out. After reinstalling, it filled with water which did freeze but again never kicked them out. I purchased the replacement and installed and the same thing happened: fills with water, water freezes, but nothing after that. Any recommendations on what to try next? Also, my W10583817 purchased here did not come with any install instructions, should it have? Thanks
Answer Hello Cole, You should put a freezer thermometer in the freezer compartment beside the icemaker. The water will freeze at about 32°F, but the icemaker will not cycle until it achieves about 20°F. The problem may be that the freezer compartment is not getting cold enough to cycle the icemaker.
