Ejner J. for Model Number MDG7400AWW Following is a copy of the correspondence we had last week. I received the ignitor and was unpacking it and the ignitor portion broke into three pieces (darn) anyway. When we opened the dryer to install it, we put the old one back in to make sure that the igniter was the problem. It turns that it did turn on and the dryer started, but, it only heated about 10 seconds and then turned off. So, back to the internet! We found documentation about the high limit sensor. So, we jumped it and that works. It runs without turning off. So, I will order one and have my neighbor install it. Thanks for your help.
Answer Hello, you will want to look at the coil set 279834 as well. As long as your ignitor is glowing a bright red almost white color, it's good. Here is the heat sensor WP338906, thanks! Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 11, 2011
