Ejner J. for Model Number MDG7400AWW The problem is that when we initially start the dryer, it heats for about 10 seconds then shuts down the flame. Per a suggestion read on your questions page, we jumped the high limit thermostat, and it ran for several minutes. So, we figured that was the problem and replaced the switch. However, the problem still exists. It will burn for about ten seconds then shut down. What else could be the problem?
Answer Hello Ejner. You will need to test the flame sensor WP338906 and see if it is good. It should read closed for continuity. If it is good, you may have bad coils 279834 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
