James for Model Number MLG2000AWW This is a follow up to a previous question i asked on here regarding my ignitor glowing red and will not ignite unless i blow on the ignitor to get the flame started. I did replace the ignitor as you instructed b/c you thought it may have had some cracks in it and the blowing allowed it to to get completley hot.. In any case i swapped out the old ignitor for a new ignitor and it seemed to work at the time of the swap out (i.e. it would ignite on its own without having to blow on it) and I tested this about 5 times to make sure and all seemed good. However the next night when we used the dryer I smelled gas again and it turns out its doing the same exact thing- glowing and no ignition unless i blow on it again! Im not sure if it could be the coils or the whole gas valve? Or something else? thanks in advance
Answer James, You will want to check your burner to make sure that it is not plugged or rusting. If it is then you will need to replace the burner.
