Jw for Model Number KGRS505XBL01 My KitchenAid oven is a freestanding double oven. The middle burner on the stove top and the broiler in the oven (just below the middle burner on the stove top) will light but will not maintain a strong flame and eventually go out all together. Do I need to replace the oven ignitor or the spark module (all the other four burners on the stove top light and work fine)?
Answer JW, You're dealing with two separate ignition devices/systems. The broil burner ignition could be and is most likely due to a weak oven burner igniter W11596211 / WP7432P143-60. But the top center burner is a different story. First remove the burner cap, check that all the burner openings are clear, the area around the burner is clear, and look into the opening and make sure there is no debris or grease, etc. blocking the orifice or orifice spud.
