M Glidden for Model Number A710 I have a very old Maytag A710 washer and recently diagnosed that the water injector kit is leaking at the connection closest to the drum. I decided to order a whole new water injector kit. However, upon receiving it, the piece that is supposed to connect to the drum itself does not fit. The old hose was made completely out of rubber and used a flange to secure it into place. The new hose has hard plastic tabs that are probably supposed to fit into some notches on the drum and then you twist it to secure it into place. I can't seem to find any other alternative parts that will work. The one I might need seems to be discontinued by the manufacturer. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Answer M. Glidden, Unfortunately, this would not be the correct hose for the unit. You could try and locate the 2016154 which is the one that is needed by doing an online search. The other possible option would be to notch out the tub cover that you currently have in order to allow this to slide into place to work. Read More...
