Mine leaks but I'm not sure how yours would be different there's no top. Perhaps the rubber inline filter that I have has worn away on one end and that is allowing it to leak. Does your unit have a rubber o ring on both sides to allow the unit to flow without leaking?

Jj January 02, 2021 for Model Number MAYTAG LAT8640AAW Can you tell me if this injector kit assembly will fit my Maytag LAT8640AAW? I've already tried the separate parts for the injector valve + sleeve but I can't get that to work, just keeps leaking. I would like to try replacing the whole damn thing now, assuming that your kit fits am hoping that the parts are sealed correctly in the housing, which is NOT something I have been able to achieve myself with just replacing the gasketsleeve & injector piece. M Glidden October 02, 2020 for Model Number A710 I have a very old Maytag A710 washer and recently diagnosed that the water injector kit is leaking at the connection closest to the drum. I decided to order a whole new water injector kit. However, upon receiving it, the piece that is supposed to connect to the drum itself does not fit. The old hose was made completely out of rubber and used a flange to secure it into place. The new hose has hard plastic tabs that are probably supposed to fit into some notches on the drum and then you twist it to secure it into place. I can't seem to find any other alternative parts that will work. The one I might need seems to be discontinued by the manufacturer. Any suggestions are appreciated!
1 Answer M. Glidden, Unfortunately, this would not be the correct hose for the unit. You could try and locate the 2016154 which is the one that is needed by doing an online search. 1 Answer Hello Ian, The "plastic cup" and injector valve WP206680 was put in to satisfy environmental laws concerning water having the ability to siphon back into the fresh water supply. In other words, it was designed to be a one way check valve from the water supply to prevent back flow. Unfortunately, without completely eliminating the part, if the injector 12001677 is malformed, water will spray to the side instead of straight into the inlet tube if the rubber sleeve, causing a leak. However, when I enter A105 in the compatibility check on that page, it says the kit is not compatible with my model. I'd rather buy the kit than try to figure out what parts I might need besides that plastic thing in the middle of the 2 hoses. Can you tell me what kit will be compatible, or if in fact this kit is?
