Cheryl for Model Number WDT720PADM2 We have water going into the dishwasher. We can go days and not have any water in the dishwasher and then we do. I believe it's being forced in from garbage disposal. We're thinking it could the inlet value? If we order the part before the plumber gets here and it is not the part that we need, is there a return fee?
Answer Hello Cheryl, If the water is coming in from the garbage disposal, this would be caused by a failing check valve in the drain line WPW10545278 of the dishwasher. If there is a water valve W11175771 issue, it can be caused by a variation of water pressure to the dishwasher since water pressure is the only thing that closes the water valve. If this is the case, replacing the water valve will not correct the issue unless there is a mineral deposit or sedimentation build-up inside the water valve assembly. Read More...
