Karen S. for Model Number DP1040XTXQ0 The water is not completely being emptied. If I have a clog how do I find it ? Could there be another reason? The cycle is complete, machine will not drain ?
Answer Hi Karen. Use a bucket and remove the drain hose connected under the sink. Use a screwdriver and check the sink drain for clogs. Also check the hose end for clogs. Make sure the drain hose is looped and mounted hi on the back wall under the sink. It creates a p-trap so the sink water does not drain back into the unit. Remove the drain hose at the pump and see if the flapper is ripped in bad repair that acts as a check valve part # WP8268375. If the pump impeller is spinning loose on the pump shaft needs replaced with pump part # WPW10348269. Then if you have not yet found the issue, Remove the racks and the top of the sump pump assy. Quickly you will get to the chopper blade. Clean this area and free the blade to macerate waste food/debris. If it needs replaced the chopper assy. is part # W10083957V. Thank You. Read More...
