Charles for Model Number MDB4100 Forgot to ask one other thing. What is the length of the door gasket? Mine doesn't reach the bottom of its slot on either side of the tub, and there is some leaking under the door from one corner. Also the foam gasket doesn't seal well around the wires. Is it supposed to contain the water-or is it simply for sound deadening? Thanks again
Answer Hello Charles, The foam gasket is not designed to seal water. Also the door seal is not designed to go across the bottom since the bottom of the door is designed to be the air inlet for the dry cycle. If water is jumping the air gap you need to check the spray arms for debris. You see, if the spray arm is partially clogged on one end, there will be more pressure escaping from the other end. As the spray arm spins, this inconstant pressure will put a "wave" in the water in the bottom of the tub. This will "slosh" the water over the air gap. Read More...
