Sharon for Model Number KSCS25FTMS02 Refrigerator does not cool. It makes a clicking noise and the compressor or fan tries to run but cuts off and clicks. I have replaced the inverter board and the mother board. I was looking for the starter relay - but assumed that was the inverter board. Is it? What else to check?
Answer Hello Sharon, You are correct that the inverter board takes the place of the start relay. If the compressor keeps cutting off when it tries to start, you will need to test the windings of the compressor at the terminals on the side of the compressor. These should read about 6.4 ohms each. If any of the windings read higher or lower or read shorted to ground, the compressor and filter/drier will need to be replaced by a Freon certified technician. Read More...
