Jjdike for Model Number ksbs25inss00 In running the 7 point diagnostics from the control panel, everything passes but number 5, which is the compressor start. The compressor does work as the temperatures in both the freezer and refrigerator sides are correct. It seems like the compressor may just be taking longer than it is supposed to to start up. I checked the resistance at the three pins on the compressor where the power from the inverter connects to the compressor. They all read around 6 Ohms. Does this point to the inverter as possibly being bad, or some other component? Thanks.
Answer jjdike, The inverter would most likely be the cause for the diagnostics failing in the service mode. Keep in mind that the compressor would have been shut off and if you put the unit into that part of the diagnostics before it had a chance to cool then it could cause the fail. If the unit is cooling properly then the inverter and compressor would be good. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 10, 2015
