Lou for Model Number 10644322400 kenmore side by side My pin readings are all 6.5 Ohms; between terminals and compressor body there is no continuity; so no shorts in windings but between all compressor pin terminals the readings are all 6.5 ohms; are the windings failing?, or is it the inverter; how can I test the inverter box? thanks in advance,
Answer Lou, If all of the terminals are showing 6.5 then the windings are bad. When you test from Common to start or run there should be 6.5 and when you go from run to start it should show around 11 ohms. As for the inverter you will test for 120 vac into the inverter and test power coming out of the inverter based on what the tag says on the inverter box. Read More...
