Robert Dehaan for Model Number MAH5500BWW Washer makes a loud knocking noise when in the high speed spin mode with a standard load of washing in it. I'm guessing that the isolator bushings and the belt need replacing. I have replaced the tub bearing and seal. The tub spins without making the noise it produced when the bearing failed. Your thoughts? Thank you!
Answer Robert, a worn out isolator(s) could make a knocking noise, but not like what you're describing. You most likely have a loose tub support or a cracked/broken arm on the spinner support assembly W10181639. The weight of wet clothes would cause the spin basket to "wobble" and hit the outer tub making the noise you hear now. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 5, 2016
