Chris for Model Number MAH4000AWW My washer will start the wash cycle by the door locking shortly after pressing start. The wash cycle will run for approximetly 35 minutes. Once it gets to the Rinse/Spin cycle I can hear the motor working but the tub will not spin and drain. I was told the belt could be the problem. Does this sound correct?
Answer Chris, It's not the belt, and not likely the motor. The first thing to check is the cold water fill hose screens for debris and sediment. The rinse cycle is automatically cold water, A slow cold water fill will interrupt the cycle. Does the washer drain eventually, and does the tub get to a high spin speed at any point ?
