Manufacturer Part Number: 12002497

The Drawer Gear Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This kit is designed to repair or replace the gear system that operates the sliding or rolling mechanism of a refrigerator drawer. It includes all necessary gears and components to ensure smooth operation of the drawer, allowing for easy access to fruits, vegetables, meats, or other items stored inside.

Causes for replacement can vary, including wear and tear from regular use, damage from overloading the drawer, or accidental breakage. Over time, the gears can wear down, lose teeth, or become misaligned, leading to poor drawer performance.

Symptoms of a bad Drawer Gear Kit include:

  • The drawer is difficult to open or close
  • A grinding or clicking noise when the drawer is moved
  • The drawer sticks or jams during operation

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.
