Todd for Model Number WFG361LVQ1 After a power outage we are getting a F5E1 error code. We tried resetting the code and that didn't work. The door is not stuck shut, but it will not allow us to bake anything.
Answer Hello Todd. Door latch not operating (Clean mode). 1. Verify failure on diagnostics screen 5. Clear the error code by pressing the START key. 2. While in diagnostics mode press AUTO CLEAN key to run lock motor. a. If the door is not latched (locked) and the door locked icon is lighted, go to Step a1. 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Check integrity of latch mechanism from cam/eccentric, through actuating rod, to latch pawl and door slot. 3. Ensure that pawl aligns with the door slot. Correct any mechanical malfunction and go to Step 3. b. If the door is latched (locked) and the door locked icon is not lighted, go to Step b1. 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Replace motor assembly and go to Step 3. c. If the door is not latched (locked) and the door locked icon is not lighted, go to Step c1. 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Check continuity of the latch motor and the electrical connections between oven control and motor. - If continuity is present, replace control.
