Sam E for Model Number wfw9500TC01 Bought washer from previous owner who said repairman told him he needed a new "control board." He did not know the error code. I plugged in, closed the door (no clothes in washer), powered on, hit start button. The red LED door lock button does not come on and F22 code appears. I have to pull the release cable to open the door. I hold in the "push button" with door open and hit start. Six faint clicks, no red LED, then F22. I pulled the control board and there are no apparent bad caps. Is the door lock part #8183270 next step to try?
Answer Hello Sam. Possible Causes/Procedure Door lock mechanism is broken or removed from door. Door switch/lock unit failure. Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check door switch/lock unit. Check the wire harness connections to the door switch/lock unit and Central Control Unit (CCU). If door lock is new, replace the CCU. Read More...
