K.R. for Model Number MDB8959SFH4 We have a fairly new Maytag dishwasher model MDB8959 SFH4 The door seal began leaking intermittently, then we noticed we could open the door slightly without the unit shutting off. Would this be a faulty door latch, or is there any adjustment?
Answer K.R., There is no adjustment, the latch assembly Snaps and Locks in place on the inner door panel and frame. You may want to check and make sure the door is properly aligned with the tub, and the latch and strike are properly aligned to each other. Then remove the outer panel and check to see that the latch hasn't come loose from the locking tabs on the door frame, before you replace the door latch. Read More...
