Jason April 13, 2023 for Model Number 665.13273K155 Can door latch part #W10619006 be tested for continuity? Instructional Videos not specific to this model/part suggested the door latch could be tested and diagnosed but after part inspection, I am not seeing a way to do that.
1 Answer Jason, There will be 2 terminals on the door switch. When the latch is closed it will have continuity. Most of the time with a small flathead screwdriver you can close the latch enough to get a reading without it being installed or power to it. Read More...

Tim January 19, 2022 for Model Number KUDS35FXSS8 One of our children fell on the open dishwasher door and now the door will not stay closed. Nothing looks bent that I can see, even when I take of the stainless steel door to replace the door latch part. I've ordered and replaced both the door latch and springs and the door still pops open. What else could it be?
1 Answer Tim, it would be recommended that the left W11612302 and right W11612303 door hinges are inspected for damage as it would be likely that one or both have bent if the inner panel WPW10480715 has not bent. Read More...
Donald June 25, 2021 for Model Number KUDC10FXSS4 unit had a leak. I replaced the dishwasher door seal and unit still leaked. I then ordered a door latch assembly W/striker plate. Had a little trouble getting the outer door back on. When I turned the unit on it was leaking quite a bit. Upon further examination I noticed; 1) The door is not aligned straight with the body of the dish washer, lower on the right side. Q- is there an adjustment to align the outer door to the body of the dish washer. 2) Would a new door seal help?
1 Answer Hello Donald, you will need to check how the door hinges located at the bottom of the door are sitting in the tub frame hinge pins, There is no door adjustment. Likely something is out of alignment on the reassembly of the door. Read More...
Kd December 13, 2020 for Model Number Kenmore 665.13262K112 My dishwasher fills and runs through the cycles like it is washing but does not move any water. I believe the switch in the door latch is bad and I need to replace the latch assembly. Does this make sense? Thanks KD
1 Answer Kd, If the unit is running it would not be caused by a door switch that is bad. Check the pump to make sure that there is nothing caught in the impeller. This unit also has a diverter motor which will most likely not be running and causing the unit to not circulate the water. Read More...
Renee September 10, 2020 for Model Number KUDS30IXSS4 Kitchen Aid dishwasher I bought the latch lock assembly and but in place. Before attaching everything I decided to put the medal latch into the assembly now I can't remove it to put it back together. I have to say the latch works great but the dishwasher is just hanging there apart. LOL! Help! How do I release it from the door lash strike.
1 Answer Hello Renee, the strike just needs to be firmly pulled straight out of the latch. You may need a pair of pliers to help grab onto the strike. Read More...
Benidict July 06, 2020 for Model Number Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III under counter dishwasher. When you open the door it drops down rapidly like there is no spring to control opening. I found a small rubber gromlet that has what looks like a break since it is no longer stretchable. Is this part of the door assembly? I looked at the detailed pictures on line and cannot identify what assists the door on opening and closing. If this gromlet is what assists the door I need to know where it fits on the machine and what is the part number. If this rubber band is not used in the machine, tell me what part of the system slows down the door opening. When you now open the door it free falls completely. Thank You
1 Answer Benidict "drops down rapidly like there is no spring to control opening", then the door spring or bushing is broken. [AP601983]1 Door Spring, WP8268990 Door Spring Bushing, WP8268961 Friction Pad. We're not sure exactly what parts you'll need, you forgot to include a model number for your dishwasher. The springs and bushings are located on the sides of the dishwasher frame, and you'll want to replace both springs and bushings at the same time(2 of ea.) Read More...

Lori September 03, 2019 for Model Number WDF780SLYB1 Hi, when I try to start my dishwasher the start button and washing button are blinking and it does not start a cycle. I’ve tried to do a diagnostic but although I get all the buttons to light up, I am unable to run the diagnostic test. I believe it is the door latch although it clicks in and seems to be closed. Is it possible that this part will fix my problem? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Lori, yes it is the door latch switch partW10619006, the panel will blink waiting for you to close the door so it can start, also to run the test mode after the keypad presses the board has to see the door closed. Read More...
