Brad F. for Model Number ED5LHAXML10 Greetings! The water dispenser stopped working on my refrigerator. All other refrigeration functions are working correctly, including the ice maker and dispenser. Do you have any idea what would cause the water dispenser to stop working? What part might I need to buy? Thank you.
Answer Hello Brad. Test and see if there is power going to the water valve when the dispenser lever is pressed. If so, and no water comes out, you will need to replace the water valve W10408179. Also, if there is power there unscrews the hose from the bottom of the water valve to confirm that no water is coming out when the dispenser is pressed. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
