T December 21, 2014 for Model Number ed5fhexnb01 The part your selling is for the water dispenser, but the video is for the ice dispenser. Do you have a video for the water dispenser?
1 Answer Hello T. It should be close to the same as the ice. At this time we do not have one for the water, but we are working daily at adding new videos to the website. Read More...
Tom July 28, 2014 After watching your video - I would not even consider looking for the part elsewhere - whatever the price is worth it with the excellent service provided!
Jim October 17, 2013 The spring came out with the ice. I got the spring back in, but the little black cup that you showed in the video that was held in by tension, so it fell out while I was working on it and I got it all back together and couldn't figure out how the cup was in there. Does it need to be in there? What purpose does it have?
1 Answer Hello Jim, The little black cup, (delay mechanism), prevents the ice door from shutting too quickly and catching ice cubes that should drop on through. Assembling the unit without it will cause "ice cube traffic jams". One end simply slips on the lever and the other end, slips into the cup end, which slips into the slot directly above it on the dispenser housing, (this is shown in the illustration above the top screw just to the left of the arrow from number 1. Mike January 09, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool refrig. GS5SHAXSL00 My water dispenser will keep dispensing water for about 5-10 seconds after removing the glass we have just filled. It then stops dispensing after that time and after being wiggled.
1 Answer Hello Mike. Check the lever, WP2255432B and make sure it is not broke or bad. If not, you will need to replace the bracket assembly WPW10184874 based on the information you provided. Hope this helps. Read More...
Brad F. June 06, 2011 for Model Number ED5LHAXML10 Greetings! The water dispenser stopped working on my refrigerator. All other refrigeration functions are working correctly, including the ice maker and dispenser. Do you have any idea what would cause the water dispenser to stop working? What part might I need to buy? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Brad. Test and see if there is power going to the water valve when the dispenser lever is pressed. If so, and no water comes out, you will need to replace the water valve W10408179. Also, if there is power there unscrews the hose from the bottom of the water valve to confirm that no water is coming out when the dispenser is pressed. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
