Greg for Model Number SAV5710AWW (Series 11) My tub leaks at the bottom. Am looking to replace the seal with part # AP4260930. Because the machine has been leaking, I'm thinking I should replace the main bearing. Do you agree? If so, can you tell me if there is a difference between these two bearings - AP4047999 and AP4049019? Is it the same bearing, and one part includes the assembly and one doesn't. Why does only one baring include the assembly? Which part should I buy?
Answer Hello Greg, These are not the same part. We have no way to tell the exact difference since this information is not provided to us by the manufacturer. This bearing should be changed if it feels rough, is making noise, or is seized. The spin bearing is the one damaged by the tub seal leaking detergent water into it so if the tub seal is being replaced, it is wise to replace the spin bearing also. The only part we can recommend to you is the one recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, May 15, 2015
