Jim for Model Number LWA50AW The washer makes a loud roaring noise starts quiet and gets louder as the tub increases speed during the spin. The belt is badly worn, and have small amount of oil leaking from transmission. Should I replace belt, lower bearing, hub seal kit and transmission?
Answer Jim, Based on your post information and description, yes, you would want to replace all the parts you mentioned, plus the incidental parts (mounting bolts, tub bolts, washers, etc.) but the transmission 38826P is no longer available from the manufacturer. You may want to research the internet to see if you can get a new or remanufactured transmission, before you start the project. Thanks Read More...
