Charles R for Model Number Amana LW8303W2 LPW8303W2 I've watched and understand the bearing replacement video. Not sure that I don't have another bigger issue. The first symptom failure was a streak and puddle of black liquid inside the stainless steel wash tub. If the load was small, it didn't get on the clothes. Then the washer started leaking from the outer tub under the washer. I assume both the seal and the bearing (even though I don't have a noise issue), should be replaced, right. Question is: What could be the source of the black liquid? I've not ordered parts but started disassembly to be sure of what I needed. The inside of the drive bell has a heavy coating of this jet black, oily texture material. What could that mean? Also, my top tub ring is different that the video and is marked part no 36016. I broke off a piece in removal. Is a replacement available? BTW: Great video.
Answer Charles, If you use fabric softener in the washer then this will be fabric softener that is not completely dissolved. For the leaking issue the seal would be the most likely cause for this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 12, 2018
