Part Number: OEM18059193
Manufacturer Part Number: WPW10331686

The Spark Module is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool ranges. It is an electrical component that generates the spark needed to ignite the gas burners. By sparking consistently and reliably, the module allows the cooktop burners to ignite with each use.

Causes of a bad spark module can include normal wear and tear over time, exposure to moisture or residue, or issues with the electronic components that produce the spark.

Symptoms of a bad spark module include:

  • Burners that will not ignite or light consistently
  • Burners that ignite but then immediately go out
  • Only some of the burners lighting while others do not
  • A clicking sound coming from the ignitors but no visible spark

Note: For harness from spark module to igniters use part number 9756892.

This OEM Whirlpool replacement spark module is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Paul P. for Model Number KGRS807SSS00

Kitchen aid KGRS807SSSOO, comes to temperature but never relights. The display will say the set temperature, but once the oven is turned off and back on it will show a lower temperature. If oven is left to cool, it will preheat and the problem will occur again. Taking your advise, posted August 19th I purchased and installed control board, oven lit, came to temperature, and never relit. I let it sit ten minutes, turned it off and back on, the display showed a much lower temperature. What is the next step now that I have installed a pretty expensive part that did not work? Thanks

Answer

Hello Paul, You should have first tested the temperature sensor WPW10131825 and if it tests about 1100 ohms at about 70°F, replace the gas valve. If you ordered the control board from us you can return it as long as you provide the serial number from your units' I.D. tag if you purchased it within the last 365 days. Just give us a call at 1-877-477-7278.
