Jose for Model Number LSQ8543JZ0 Whirlpool Whirlpool Washer LSQ8543JZ0. It seems to run ok, however, regardless of the cycle, It will only spin on high (regardless if on high or low spin cycle). There is also what seems to be a burning smell, but can't seem to isolate where it is coming from. The other day it did smoke a bit. I have run the washer through the full cycle a couple of times without repeating the smoke. In looking at website, think it might be motor or transmission, but it does agitate and it does spin, although only high spin, and agitation seems higher than it should be on delicate cycles. Thanks
Answer Jose, when the washer is set to a low spin, there should be 120VAC going through the orange wire at terminal 6 of the timer. If there is voltage, the next step would be testing for 120VAC at the blue wire on terminal 5. If there is 120VAC at terminal 5, the timer WP3953321 has failed. If there is not 120VAC, the failure would be in the motor WP661600 Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, October 7, 2023
