Eddie for Model Number 110.28722700 My Kenmore 700 washer, which is about 5 years old, will not spin on every cycle. I checked the pump, clutch & motor coupling and they were fine. I changed the lid switch because it was bad. It still did the same thing. I changed the timer.because it sounded like it was not moving through all the cycles; but that was not the problem either. I can hear the motor humming like it is trying to go into the spin cycle but then it stops, almost like it's overheating. It does the same thing when there are no clothes in the machine. All I have left are the transmission and motor. Do you have any suggestions?
Answer Hello Eddie. Turn the motor by hand and make sure nothing is binding. If not, you will need to order and replace the motor in the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, February 23, 2013
