Dave for Model Number ED5LHAXWS07 Ice dispenser spins counter-clockwise, is there a way to fix this? i have never serviced the unit, but the ice maker clogs frequently as long as i have had the unit.
Answer Dave, The ice dispenser would rotate clockwise for crushed and counter clockwise for cube. If the unit is only rotating one direction then this will most likely be the dispenser motor that would need to be replaced and would be part number WP2188242. To change you will look at the inner freezer door under where the ice bin would be and there will be 2 screws that you will remove to take out the dispenser shaft. Once this is out you will go to the first shelf under the ice bin and look up and there will be a door held by 2 screws, remove the screws and this will give access to the dispenser motor.
