Nroh for Model Number DME3000AYW My dryer will not start when I push the start button at any timer setting. There is no sound. I have checked the door switch, temperature sensor, thermal fuse and heater element. How do I check the motor and the timer or is there something else I should check? The motor was replaced within the last 2 months when it started making a noise when first started. I suppose it could be a bad motor but it is a new Maytag motor. The thermal temperature switch was replaced at the same time because the dryer tended to get the clothes hot when removed. i report this in case it helps direct the answer to the problem. The dryer is 13 years old had has no previous problems. it supports 2 adults. Please help. Thank you
Answer Hello Nroh. there are 2 fuses on this model WP307473 and WP33001762. You need to check both fusesd on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
