David for Model Number Maytag Epic - Model MFW9500TKO We ordered a new motor from you. Part Number 8182793 to fix a faulty motor. It went in fine. Unfortunately now, it seems to be having logic issues. For instance, it only uses very hot water whether it's set to cold or hot. It also locked the door vs. unlocking it when it was done so we couldn't get in. I had to trick it to unlock. Did we install something backwards? Is this not the right motor?
Answer David, Based on the model number this motor WP8182793 is the correct motor for the unit. The motor would not have anything to do with the water temperature or door lock.
