Mike T. for Model Number whirlpool ghw9200lw I get error code F6. Tub won't spin. I opened the front panel and the front shock absorber is broken and detached. The motor sounds like it is trying to spin but won't. If I replace the shock will that put the tub in alignment and allow it to spin?
Answer Hello Mike. Remove the belt from the washer and turn the tub assembly by hand. If it feels tight, then the shock could repair the unit. If it is not binding, then you may have another issue. Also, you can test the motor WP8182793 without the belt hooked up and see if the motor works without the belt installed. Hope this helps. Read More...
