James for Model Number WRF989SDAM02 A couple of months ago I was getting water on the floor. Then about every two weeks the freezer door would freeze shut. They put a grid on the bottom pull out door creating a bond with the ice. Warm water with a hose pipe helped. Then the fridge was making a loud vibrations sound. At first I thought it was the compressor, turns out it was the evaporator fan motor. The fan motor has quit, there is a lot of ice around the coils. Now about every 3 minutes the refrigerator is playing it's start up jingle. Great fridge when it works, giving me trouble off and on from day one. Had a Freon leak, miracle of miracles I fixed that. Trying to figure out if the motor is dead or frozen. sounds like I have a bad defrost sensor? Would the motor not running cause the fridge to play a jingle? Thanks and help....
Answer James, For this issue of the fan motor not running could cause the jingle noise and would want to clear the ice from around the fan and if it is not running once the ice is clear then this will be a faulty fan. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 7, 2019
