Rebecca for Model Number ED5VHEXVB06 My fridge no longer dispenses ice or water, but it still makes ice. I was going to order a new ice dispenser motor but then thought I started to second guess things because of the water dispenser isn't working. What do you think is needed?
Answer Rebecca, You will want to remove the dispenser cover and check the switches that are on the dispenser bracket WP2180226. To remove the cover use a flat blade screwdriver under the control panel and pop the panel off at the bottom. Once you do this you will have access to the switches. Make sure that they are not loose in the bracket. If this checks ok then check the wiring at the bottom of the door to make sure that there is no damage to the wiring at the door hinge. Read More...
