Randy for Model Number ed5vhexvb01 Ice maker is only making and dropping ice every now and then. Water is getting to the tray but just does not seem to make it real fast. We are on a well system and recently had to replace well pump and had shut off the ice maker while this was going on, ice maker was off for 2 days and noticed that it was not keeping up with out usage about a week later. In 24 hours it has only dropped ice maybe 2 to 3 times.

If now you are only getting intermittent water fill, possibly the water valve coils are bad part # W10408179.The ice maker commands the valve for approx. 6 sec. to allow water to flow. Make sure your fill tube is clear by twist/remove/ unhook and dry with a hair dryer. If this was the case , then the valve was needed. Thank You. Read More...
