Rodger M for Model Number Maytag fridge MSD2576VEM The ice dispenser motor comes on unexpectedly dumping ice on the floor, then stops. Does this frequently. Replaced the control board and pad with no success. What causes this to happen and how do I fix it?
Answer Hello Rodger, The auger motor on unit is routed from the dispenser to the control board then back up to the auger motor. You will need to check wire harness connections at the dispenser, bottom of the door, at the control board and at the auger motor to ensure that there are no broken or loose wires that could cause intermittent contact.
