Jfredricks for Model Number Matag MAH3000aww I was replacing the door latch wax motor and the machine control board (R-11 fried). The machine was unplugged. The front panel was still off and I was getting ready to install the machine control board. I accidentally bumped the door and it closed and locked. I went ahead and installed the control board and turned it on to a cycle to try to get the latch to release at the end of the cycle. It will not unlock. Is there something out of alignment keeping the latch and lock engaged? Needless to say I can't get the top open to access the wax motor or get the door unlocked, regardless of power on or off. How can I access the latch or wax motor to get the door unlocked? All cycles work but at end of any cycle the door lock light remains on permanently and the door won't open. Help please.
Answer Hello Jfredricks. There should be a neon green cable going from the latch to the dispenser assembly. If you pull this cable it should unlock the door where you can open it.
