James When the dryer cycles through and the valve closes I am getting a very small gas leak out of the side hole in the limiter on top of the valve. Is this normal while the valve is relieving pressure, because I am having the same issue with multiple valves?
Answer James, this is basically normal, the regulators have a spring loaded plunger inside the assembly. When on Natural gas, if the pressure increases above 1/2 to 3/4 PSI the relief plunger will open and release any excess pressure. You could have a weak pressure relief spring, but since you have " the same issue with multiple valves", you may want to have the gas supply company come out and check the gas line pressure at the house regulator and at the gas valve regulator on your products.
