Symptoms of a faulty limiter include:

  • Dryer not achieving proper temperatures or taking too long
  • Yellow flames indicating abnormal gas-to-air ratios
  • Fault codes showing problems with gas valve readings

Causes can range from debris accumulation reducing gas flow to mechanical wear of linkage components. This replacement restores optimized operation.

This OEM replacement part is compatible with select KitchenAid and Maytag brand models.

Hello Garry, if the original Natural gas orifices for the cooktop and oven burners were not saved when the range was converted to LP then the orifice holders for the Natural gas orifices would need to be changed out, however, we cannot locate this model's LP Conversion kit part number or the Installation Sheet that came with it to confirm what Natural gas parts needed to be changed (for example the pressure regulator), suggest due to your circumstance you may want to contact the manufacturer's Customer Service for assistance.

Scott for Model Number KGYS750GQ1 WITH SERIAL NUMBER MK 1813039

i purchased this dryer for a second home. It was natural gas but I had it converted to LP for my rural home. We now have natural gas to the home and I want to convert back to the original equipment for natural gas firing. I need the natural gas orifice, the original regulator adjustment screw that compresses the spring and may need a vent limiter if the diaphragm fails on the regulator. Can you give me a list of parts to go back to the original natural gas operation? Thanks.

James, this is basically normal, the regulators have a spring loaded plunger inside the assembly. When on Natural gas, if the pressure increases above 1/2 to 3/4 PSI the relief plunger will open and release any excess pressure. You could have a weak pressure relief spring, but since you have " the same issue with multiple valves", you may want to have the gas supply company come out and check the gas line pressure at the house regulator and at the gas valve regulator on your products.

The regulator can normally be converted by flipping the gas stop under the big nut but it should be checked for leaks afterwards with a lightly soaped water solution, (one teaspoon of liquid soap to one quart of water) to bubble properly if a leak is present.
