Richard for Model Number LAX5578XTWO Oil leaking. Transmission seal diagnosis, bought new seal from an Appliance Store. It is just like the seal you sell, but more expensive. Problem, the seal I removed was only 1 black piece and the new seal is 2 seals in the package. The store I bought it from does not know why. So I installed both seals but another leak occurred, should I only have installed the black seal and not the little seal that came with it? I'm going to take it apart again and see where the oil is coming from.
Answer Richard, If you look at our website at the part 285352 there are 3 pieces to the seal. The large seal goes in first, the middle piece would then go in and then the smaller ring will go into the second piece. This should be how it is installed. Read More...
