Jackie January 30, 2018 for Model Number LSR8233EQ1 - Whirlpool I see oil leaking from the input gasket. Is Part AP3043580 the correct gear case seal for this machine? Why are there two seals in this set? Watching a video on replacing this gasket from the outside of the gear casing, it seems there is just one seal. Thank you for any help you can offer.
1 Answer Jackie, The oil seal for this unit would be part number WP91939. It does only show 1 seal for this. Read More...
Richard November 25, 2015 for Model Number LAX5578XTWO Oil leaking. Transmission seal diagnosis, bought new seal from an Appliance Store. It is just like the seal you sell, but more expensive. Problem, the seal I removed was only 1 black piece and the new seal is 2 seals in the package. The store I bought it from does not know why. So I installed both seals but another leak occurred, should I only have installed the black seal and not the little seal that came with it? I'm going to take it apart again and see where the oil is coming from.
1 Answer Richard, If you look at our website at the part 285352 there are 3 pieces to the seal. The large seal goes in first, the middle piece would then go in and then the smaller ring will go into the second piece. This should be how it is installed. Read More...

Christopher H. February 16, 2014 for Model Number 110.82673810 Hello, I've found a leaking gear case input shaft seal on my 70 series Kenmore washer. I have disassembled it down to seal. I would like to verify that part number AP3043580 seal kit is the correct repair seal. Also, is there a technique for removing the old seal? I see nowhere to pry on it like a standard lip seal. Thank you for your time! Christopher H.
1 Answer Hello Christopher. 285352 is the seal that the coupler shaft goes through. You remove it by taking the gear box apart, then remove the shaft and tap it out of the body. Read More...
Ruralrev January 02, 2013 for Model Number ETW4400TQ1 The transmission is leaking oil all over the place. Can I replace the seals on this model or do I need a new one? There is a seal kit listed. If so, I already have the trans. apart, how do I get the driveshaft out? (trans #3360629).
1 Answer Hello Ruralrev, The transmission seal 285352 can be changed out. To remove the drive shaft you have to remove the internal workings of the transmission and it will just lift out. Read More...
John G August 09, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore 110.26902690 Since I apparently have to disassemble the transmission to replace the input seal, what parts, if any, do I need besides the seal kit and gear oil?

Richard April 30, 2011 for Model Number WTN5800SWO Oil was found under the washer. Looked like syrup you would use for pancakes. Washer is about 5yrs old, but probably hasn't had 50 loads of laundry run through it. It may sit for a month before it is used. I looked under it but could not determine where oil was coming from. Thought maybe a seal could be dried up and cracked due to lack of usage of machine.
1 Answer Hello Richard. If there is oil under there, it has most likely came from the transmission 3360629. There is no seals to replace on these transmissions. They only sell them as an assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
