Eric for Model Number WRS571CIDM01 Ice maker works and fills bucket, but ice won’t dispense. The door opens when the paddle is depressed, but auger does not turn. Replaced auger motor, same result. Is there a switch that turns on the auger motor?
Answer Eric, it would be recommended that the wires of the door hinge are inspected to identify if there is a broken wire. If not, the next step would be to test the main control W11035841 for voltage output at the connection P3 when the ice dispenser paddle is activated. The gray wire would be tested to the blue wire using a multimeter set to DC voltage and there should be 120VDC. If there is and the auger does not operate, there is likely a failed wire either in the door or the liner. If there is not voltage, the main control would be the likely failure. Read More...
