James for Model Number MDB6709AWW1 I bought this dishwasher new in June of 2010. Recently, the left side cycles light won't light up. The right side options work ok, however, today the unit will not start. Do you think this is probably the console assembly? I have not put a meter on the door switches as yet.
Answer Hello James, I would first turn off the power to the unit and remove the panel and unplug the ribbon cable. Using the eraser end of a pencil, rub across the ribbon cable in the same direction as the traces. This will clean them up if any corrosion is present and causing loss of electrical continuity.
