Mike for Model Number MVWB450WQ1 My washer is making a very loud noise while draining. The pump is fine, and does not make the noise when it is liquid full, but when it gets to the end of draining, and the spin cycle is trying to get the last bit of water out of the clothes, the pump starts making a really loud noise. I know pumps typically make noises at this part of the cycle, because they are pumping air and water, but the noise has gotten really loud lately. I took apart my washer, a couple weeks ago, and there was nothing stuck in the pump, so I know it’s not that. Plus when it drains, and it’s liquid full, it doesn’t make a noise. It’s not until it’s running low on water to pump. Any thoughts?
Answer Mike, This will most likely be an issue with the pump. The impeller may be a bit wobbly and when it has completed the draining of water, this would cause the impeller to start wobbling while spinning which would cause the noise. You will want to replace the drain pump for this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, February 20, 2023
