This washer drain pump moves water out of the washer during drain and spin. Replacing a worn or failed pump restores proper draining so cycles finish on time and the basket can reach full spin speed.

What it does

  • Pumps water from the tub to the household drain during the drain cycle
  • Helps resolve standing water, slow draining, or humming from a seized pump
  • Reduces long/aborted cycles caused by incomplete draining
  • Can stop leaks at the pump body when the housing is cracked

What’s included
One drain pump assembly.

Install notes

  • Unplug power and turn off water; bail out remaining water before service
  • Clamp/remove hoses and keep towels handy; transfer any mounting bracket as needed
  • Inspect and clear the drain hose and tub-to-pump hose before reassembly
  • Run a drain/spin test to verify proper flow and check for leaks

This OEM drain pump is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Marcy G for Model Number MVWB765FW0

My washing machine just started leaving detergent stains on our dark clothing. I use liquid detergent and it's an HE machine. I have tried: cleaning the machine (multiple times), using less detergent, changing detergents, using baking soda, and cleaning with vinegar. Nothing works. We are wondering if the water sensor might need to be replaced or cleaned? Maybe the machine is not getting filled enough during the cycle? We bought the machine new 2-3 years ago and it just started doing this.

Answer

Marcy G, Based on the information provided you would need to verify that the washer is not packed too tightly (overloaded) and that the water temp chosen is above 70F for the detergent to activate and dissolve. If the above is all good then you could have a control assembly issue W11611438
