  • Helps resolve standing water, slow draining, or humming from a seized pump

  • Can stop leaks at the pump body when the housing is cracked

What’s included
One drain pump assembly.

Install notes

  • Unplug power and turn off water; bail out remaining water before service
  • Clamp/remove hoses and keep towels handy; transfer any mounting bracket as needed
  • Inspect and clear the drain hose and tub-to-pump hose before reassembly
  • Run a drain/spin test to verify proper flow and check for leaks

Megan, with the back console panel removed, the water valve W11188329 can be tested for 120VAC during a fill cycle. If there is voltage present but water does not go into the tub, the valve has failed and would need to be replaced.

Kim, You will need to tilt the unit backward and see if you can determine where the unit is leaking at. If it is leaking from the pump then part number W10876600 will be the correct part. The unit could also be leaking from the tub seal or could be leaking from a hose so you will need to determine where the leak is coming from.

Marcy G for Model Number MVWB765FW0

My washing machine just started leaving detergent stains on our dark clothing. I use liquid detergent and it's an HE machine. I have tried: cleaning the machine (multiple times), using less detergent, changing detergents, using baking soda, and cleaning with vinegar. Nothing works. We are wondering if the water sensor might need to be replaced or cleaned? Maybe the machine is not getting filled enough during the cycle? We bought the machine new 2-3 years ago and it just started doing this.

Marcy G, Based on the information provided you would need to verify that the washer is not packed too tightly (overloaded) and that the water temp chosen is above 70F for the detergent to activate and dissolve. If the above is all good then you could have a control assembly issue W11611438

Robert, For this issue the water level sensor will be a control board and would need part number W11116592. It would be recommended to check to make sure that there is not obstruction in the screens of the water valve which would cause slow water flow and the unit to time out on fill.

Stewart, You will want to put the unit into diagnostic and see if there are any stored error codes. This issue may be a shift actuator that is faulty.
